Problem 6.1  Length of a Rectangle

A rectangle has a perimeter of 50 cm.  If the ratio of its length to its width is 3 : 2, find the length of the rectangle.

Problem 6.2  Population of a Village

The ratio of the populations of village A and village B is 2 : 7, while the ratio of the populations of village B and village C is 4 : 1.  If the total population of the three villages is 86 000, find the population of each village.
