Addition of Algebraic Fractions

The Lowest Common Multiple (LCM) of the denominators of fractions is called their Lowest Common Denominator (LCD).

To add algebraic fractions, first express them in terms of their Lowest Common Denominator (LCD) and then add their numerators to obtain the numerator that is divided by the LCD to arrive at the answer.
